using JAF cables on MTbox - it is possible?

I have package of jaf cables and reduction ADA-019. It is some way to use BB5 jaf cables with MTbox for flashing, withou soldering pin from RX2 to VPP? Cos in JAF cables VPP is not connected. When I try it, flash process can not started.

Thanks

not work with jaf 7 pin cable, you need mod 7pin cable to 5pin, just put the 7pin cable rx2 pin(MT 5pint cable not use rx2) to vpp and release usb power pin(not use, 7pin cable is short to GND), and uncheck TX2line for flash

about VPP:
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=267688

about error, usually because of too long mt-box 10 to 8 adapter, and too long f-bus cable, or resistance in bsi-gnd and bsi serial not correct.

i'm not keep all my flashing log, but here's one, n70 after erased.
7 pins cable, VPP pin from rj45 connected to RX2 in phone.

hmm, JAF has implement using rx2 in phone since first time he launch bb5 flashing..
remember, 7 pins cable, VPP line in rj45 connected to RX2 in phone.
but mt-box, VPP line in rj45 conncected to VPP in phone. but for "rapido", flash loader must communicate via tx2 line (rx2 in phone).

sorry for my english, i can't explain better..

yes...i know"7 pins cable, VPP line in rj45 connected to RX2 in phone" i just confuse why mt-box not use same method for flash, maybe mt-box use both line(vpp and rx2) for special reason, as they said:

DisableVPP, why do you need it , and when to use it:
When flashing some phones, you can use VPP to speed up the flashing of the phone ( in some case twice faster). When to use VPP is determined by type of flash in phone, model of phone, loader used to flash the phone ... So this is a very complicated decision that MT-BOX makes automatically when you flash.
Why do you need 'DisableVPP': MT-Box is the first flasher ( not produced by Nokia) that uses VPP and that is why it is so fast. The problem is that if MT-Box tries to use VPP, and the cable doesn't have VPP, or it is connected to wrong PIN the flashing will FAIL. NOTE the same cable may work with other boxes because they don't use VPP. So for those cases we've added this option. It will allow you to use the old slow method and flash the phone without using VPP.
This option will be remembered by SW and next time you try to flash the same model it will be flashed with DisableVPP.
To professionals that can repair their cables, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO REPAIR THE CABLE AND FLASH WITH VPP.

Slow Flashing: MT-Box sends flash data to phone very fast. As you can see this works on almost all nokia phones. This option is made for a few models that are very slow ( 7650 and some other WD2 phones ). When you use it, MT-BOX will transmit data 2-3 times slower, so the slow phone is able to recieve it.
Why MT-Box needs this option, and other flashers don't?: - because all other flasher transmit slower then MT-Box even when it transmits in Slow mode

so what is the advice for mt users that have jaf cables?

1. use adaptor, use vpp (faster flashing)
2. for models with 'rapido' chip (N95, N76 etc) buy new cables with 10 pins (not using adaptor anymore)

if your cable have a 10pin connector you can use TX2 line and VPP together without ADAPTER 10to 8
