EF81 Dead to Alive ?

HEllo there.. I have just joined your community and i found it really interesting because of the many upper level conversations about fixing a dead phone..

I tried once to update my ef81 and the result was the software to freeze on the computer so the phone could not work. I tried it twice more but nothing happened. At the end the phone could not open at all, neither with Download method (* and on). The fact is that when i plug it for charge the phone flashes and ***** the Benq-siemens logo. When i connect it with the pc though it does not switch on. I really need to bring it to life.

If that's possible and you can help me, anyone is welcome with any solution!

Thanks very much for everything even the chance to share my problem.

Only JTAG... no other chance.
Looks like Bootloader killed...

See attached Pic here:
benq siemens E81

Last chance would be. If your Battery is "empty". Less then 2,5 Volt...
Then EF81 also looks like dead.

So check Battery first.

hey there.. thanks for your answer..

Since the phone can charge (i can see the benqsiemens icon) that means the battery is fully charged.

What about JTAG ? What is this and how it can work? Where can i find it?

Thanks for your help!!

If you see the Logo only if you plug in the charger.
This is NOT the sign. That your battery is charging nor your battery is higher then 2,5 Volt...
Use Voltmeter to be sure.

Or try other Battery...

JTAG is additional Hardware. You can buy it for around 100 Euro from Segger.

But again. Be sure your Battery have more then 2,5 Volt.

+ and - are visible on Battery...

Voltmeter is less then 5 Euro... or ask your neighbor for help.

Only if in the right upper corner Battery symbol is seen with Animation.
Like on Screenshot.

If you see only the BenQ Siemens Logo on white Background.
The EF81 do NOTHING!

Important/mandatory is that Battery has more then 2,5 Volt.

Software protection not allow EF81 to charge if battery too low. To protect Hardware damage...

This is Firmware behavior...
