ef81 factory test mode

i have an ef81, tried to flash it and it got interrupted during flash, i managed to enter emergency download ( by # + pwr ) and tried to flash again with EF81_IP11.0.2_SVN27_Production_ru-RussianRetail_0060

it worked well until about 60% then it said resetting phone and i got factory test mode on screen

since then i cannot flash it since i get backing up BRT, error backing up BRT and you got too many uninitialized NV items on your phone

please help

Make USB cable:

1 - data+
2 - data-
5+6 - gnd
7 - +5V (with 100 Ohm resistor)

Rename a file template.brt in XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.brt, where XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX - imei your phone
flash again

i managed to flash it but now is in offline mode with version 40

how can i full repair it so i can use it as a phone

when trying to flash it with vers 48 i get an error with the original usb flasher from benq-siemens so i cannot make it vers 48 since i dont have the swup flasher for that

please give me a hint

There is utilite Factory Test Mode Application. Connect phone, choose COM port, choose mode Online. Press button Mode Control. You reload phone for check.

i was trying to do what you said and not working since i dunno exactly what to do after pressing mode control, nothing happens

but i was trying to play with the program and when working with qpst service programming, and trying to change the network settings, i get searching message for a second and then phone restarts with this error message:

NV_ITEM: NV_UE_IMEI_I status NV_READONLY_S, so i presume that this is the problem finally, cannot wite NV_IMEI

please try help me with this, how can i correct this error,

hi my friend, sorry for troubling you again

i played with the EF81 and when trying to write sw with qpst, said saomething about the boot table and now is dead, no emergency download ( # and pwr for 5 secs ), no beep when plugging the usb cable into phone, nothing

pls tell me there is something i can do to revive it

To repair Factory test mode you have to do or have right cable. Schematic posted before WRONG! Right schematic attached.

If you cann't start flash because of error of backuping BRT - start flashing from emergency mode (#+power). During flashing process place to programm folder brt-file of backup of your phone, otherwise your phone will be without network after flashing. If you have not backuped brt-file, you may use file of other phone, but you have to rename it to IMEI of your phone.

If your phone became to offline mode or other you have to use QPST and it's module "Factory test mode application" - it can switch the phone to online (normal mode). For this operation use COM-cable.

Seems to be all...

I'm not sure why u need other cable.

DCA-140 is all what u need for playing with QPST, 3GSwup and so on.

Factory Test Mode, Service Required and other Errors during or after Flashing is the surprise of damage NV-items.

To prevent panic. Use ever before Flashing QPST and BACKUP all NV items with Software Download. Make your own *.QCN.

The BRT is an funny Format. U need NV Editor or other BQS Soft to read what is included...

QPST can save over 1000 items. The BRT list u can see in file BackupNVItems.csv in 3GSwup folder. Is only lousy 761 of over 1000.

BRT came from BACKUP RESTORE Tool. But I only know that FW22 from SXG75 has the Tool NV_EFS_Restore.exe. Never used this and never saw this Tool again...

Here u can find an repair QCN from SXG75. It works also with EF81, because nearly same Hardware...

For playing with QPST I suggest only to use these files. And *.QCN is without trouble...

((EF81_de-B*********.qvcefs)) only what u can see with Bitpim

All other files could be deadly for the phone. U can read the PDF from 3GSwup...

Maybe u have kill the Bootloader. Normally u can see something like BenQ-Siemens on Display.

In my Eyes, your Phone is death.

Maybe only smart guys with special Hardware can react your phone. Sorry.
