Yes S40 tool 1.01 works fine on function read/write flash for sure.

I have software bug on my phone so I can't see received messages.

If you send message to this phone it will not be received also.

Now i tried to flash the 4mb image from the "so called fake" S40 flasher by Maxim, and phone will not turn on anymore...

No problem for this i put back the backed up flash and all fine again except for the received message option....

Maybe someone want to exchange my flash for his S40 flash!?

Flashing doesn't works for me. I can't read flash with 1.0.1

The phone ticks an then the message "bad crc - use correct cable" appears.

My SW is 2.4.0 EEPROM 13.12.1

Log reader works fine.

Solution for problems like "Bad CRC use correct cable"

1) Close all other programs like browser, icq
2) start S40 v1.01 tool

3) KEEP THE TOOL FOCUSSED and leave your computer alone reading/writing flash!!!

4) don't try to start other software just wait for the software to finish.....

i have S40 permamently blocked. using pin out from www.gsmhacking.com and use soft free tool V 1.0.1. but nothink not work for me. please send me correct pin out. that's my problem?

Hi

1st: Pinout from gsmhacking.com isn't correct. You must replace Tx with Rx
2nd: Soft 1.0.1 works with 7.0.0, too
3rd: You can unlock a higher versions (like 8.0.0 and 9.0.0), but you must use your brain ...think, it's very simple, but takes some time !

Flash reading / writing works on versions 3.2.0, 5.0.0,7.0.0 and 8.0.0, i'm 100% sure ...

But you need fast machine (>cel500) and a good cable with external power and good MAX232 IC ...

With my Celeron 300A flash reading doesn't work.
After your information, I had overclocked them to 450 Mhz and now it works fine

Please put firmware 3.2.0 or higher online - I need it to reset the phone to factory defaults!!!!

Buffermess: I don't know, why you think that celeron 300A overcloked to 450 will burn off ...I used this CPU over 1,5 year and all was OK, system stability was great, too. Now I have celeron 533 overclocked to 850 and celeron 1200 &1600 (12x133)and all works great without ANY problems ...

Of course you need a good cooler ...
