How to flash blank EF81? - GSM-Forum

Hi!
Have a problem.
Cant understand how to flash blank siemens EF81 (without imei), becouse 3G flashing software told me that imei cannot be read ...
Are there any variants to solve this problem?

Download Mode

DCA-140 works 100%

Choose Software Download from QPST. Select only 3 files in your 3GSwup folder. (Use 3GSwup folder with all files). But select only this:

Code:

amss.mbn
amsshd.mbn
partition.mbn

This is normally all what you need for "first try"...

I bought DCA-100 (ser.), but no connection with EF81.

No idea why... Rumours said that DCA-100 must work...

But I can't confirm that by my self, because no success.

Again. Use DCA-140 (USB) and no trouble with Data connection und Flashing.

This is the STANDARD cable which came with EF81...

Imho I never found an solution to programm OFFLINE.

If you can't use Download Mode (# hold and power up), EF81 is dead.

And only chance for Download Mode is, if EF81 shows something on Display...
BenQ-Siemens Logo is an good sign of life.

Recapitulation for succesfully "repair" (Flashing).

1. Use only DCA-140. This is confirmed by all EF81 users...
2. Download Mode as Emergency Download is the only thing, which could help to Restore damaged Firmware and other Software problems...
3. NV items as QCN or BRT are sometimes damaged and need to Restore.

If someone has other other experience, please tell us.

Hi!
On some russian forum i have found some information about boot-erased Benq-Siemens EF81. Somebody told, that you can disconnect memory module from "WORKING-OK" mobile, then read information, stored in this memory module and then fill this information right in flash memory of a dead phone.
Could you tell me, is it right or not?
Anybody know something of this method?

Somewhere found information about flashing EF81 with COM cable, like DCA-140, but with COM connector ... May be possible to restore phone with COM cable, or not?
Anybody, please help me

You know if you have a BRT File from an another Phone for Restore which has Simlock that can lock also the Phone.

I tried over BootAdapter 2000 and its working very fine..
