S40 phone book Problem - GSM-Forum

I have Siemens S40 that have a problem..when I enter the phone book and try to explore numbers ..the key pad tone stops and never work again ... and the phone freeze for while and work again..and i cant explore numbers..or save new ones..I flashed it full and eeprom..but im not sure that these flashes are good ...any help??

maybe your phonebook is damaged. i got this problem on my sl45 when while saving a number i accidentally removed the mmc (Doh!) The solution i found was to delete whole address book and resync my phone.

Doesn't S40 have phone memory? Is address book stored on sim only? That's weird. I thought all the x4x series has phone address book.

it doenot accept to view entries..and when i try to add new one it take long time to save ( hanging ) or says not enough memory!!!
and how to even see my sim numbers..
