Siemens S40 Dead! Need Mapping?? Step-by-Step solutions needed. - GSM-Forum

Hello!

My S40 suddenly died few days ago and didn't turn on again!
It didn't even let me charge the battery!

So I flashed my S40 with UNISiemensSoft and S40Fubu900D.bin.
Now I am able so turn on my S40; however, it displays
"Operator Lock" and some Greek charactors...

Did I use a right firmware? Should I do load log/write map thing?
Do I need to do anything else? I am quite new about GSM phone,
so any help would be really appreciated!

I did the log thing, but I think I need to do mapping.
Please anyone help me!

If anyone can explain how to revive a S40 step by step with
software locations, I would be appreciated!

I had the same problem after a reflash. First I had to change the lang setting back to english. Menu 4-1-2.
Then I had to unlock the phone. Used 'Siemens S40 toolshop' and v9.0.0 flash. At some point I screwed up the IMEI and had to fix that too but it all worked in the end.
