To patch the phone or the flash file

Greetings,
what do you suggest, is it good to patch the phone or to work with the 'file with part of flash'...

just want to know the toppers review on it.. most ppl have come up with this discussion, but no rght answer...

yourkas is right, of course patch the phone is better, and btw, if You don`t like that patch, You can always undo it

agreed... But just in case you can't undo (i.e. the patch doesn't contain old data) have a handy backup of your phone's flash
