SMS Counter for SL45i - GSM-Forum

Hello!
First many thanks for coolLang for the patch and RizaPN for conversion to SL45i. Here's my question:
Does the patch only count the messages sent by using the original write message function, or does it also count those one sent by Java midlets? How does it count? Because if it's just a call to a firmware procedure I could add this to my Java midlet.

The outgoing SMS counter is trapping the "Message Sent" function. So, the counter will be increased if the "Message Sent" function is called. From my searching through the sl45v56 firmware, there is no other "Message Sent" function other than those two which are trapped by the patch. Means: if the SMS Send function in Java midlet also generate that "Message Sent" screen, then it will also counted.

Okay. But I have applied the "Disable Allow SMS to"-Patch, so first no message is shown if I want to send an SMS. Secondly I recieve no "message sent" window in my Java midlets.
Hm, I have to test if there's a window when I enable the "allow SMS" function. If there's still no window, I would just have to call the counting procedure in SMSC patch. Or can somebody tell me if there's normally a "message sent" window when sent a message through Java midlet?

I did test sending SMS using MicroReader, and found that the "Sent: " counter is not increased. My phone has no "Disable Allow SMS" patch installed.

I can`t find it. Matbe it`s becaouse i have patch by vBartek that becomes SMS Menu short?

Yes, that's right. I didn't test vBartek's patch myself, but can think of this possiblity: He deleted the help menu and replaced it with "CB messages". Since in germany no one uses CB anymore, you could replace this with the additional SMS counter menu from RizaPN. Here's the right SMS menu shortcut patch:
