Costs 189 euro here, but not sure if it works. anyone have experience??

The 256Mb I think that won´t work. Or if work, just recognize 128Mb.

The 128Mb barrily work on SL45i, I´m not sure but I guess that 128Mb only work with v54, v55 or 56. (maybe in v52 too)

My advice is to buy 128Mb to use with SL45i v54 (at least) or v56 (for optimal)

I suppose you know the answer by now

For the benefit of others, this has been discussed and tested in another forum and the answer is no. See http://www.club-siemens.net/forum/vi....php?tid=13328

I suggest everyone contact siemens to ask them to come up with a new firmware revision to support it, and also ask them to think ahead and plan support for 512MB or 1GB MMC

I did it and few other people too. If you do it as well, hopefully they will get the message.

I followed the email/contact link on www.my-siemens.com which brought me to a page where I had to fill in the form. A few days later I received an email back from their UK helpdesk.

I have a SL45i FW54 and will soon be upgrading to FW56... then I´ll add some partial flashing mods.

Apart form that, I´d really like!!! to have a 256Mb MMC in it!!!

So, I´ve sent a mail at www.my-siemens.com asking if they have plans for this.
I advise you do the same!!!

I guess you´re serious about it, but everyone says 256MB MMC aren´t compatible with the Sl45i... not even with the FW56...

So, as theý told you, you´re the first to achieve it!

Maybe it depends of the card brand...

Wel... my computer only accpets 256 SDRAM DIMMs from specific manufacturers... so, what you say could prove right.

I can´t seem to acces www.kingmax.com nor www.kingmax.com.tw and google doesn´t come up with usable results for "kingmax 256mb mmc"

I´ll just keep trying.

I´ll let you know if I get to buy one...

Is anybody out there also using one with the SL45i???

I´ve accessed www.kingmax.com.tw ... but it´s not updated since mid-2002...

They do refer to 256MB MMc´s but they don´t supply a product code for it, as opposed to 16MB, 32MB, 64MB and 128MB cards...

I´ll keep searching...

Do you have a direct link for the card?

I`m Don`n have a DIRECT link, but I have link Russian company which sells Kingmax MMC 256 for USD 82(79 now) in Moscow. Users of my web-page about SL45 already have bought more than 40 MMCards! I managed to agree upon the discount for them and the price has fallen up to USD 75! But before purchase of cards I certainly tested them on SL45 v54 and v56 and cardreader PQI 7in1!

The on-line translation I found isn´t great, though I managed to read several satisfied people statements. One had problems with the address boook?

I already sent a mail to:
www.flashtrade.ru and www.bigcomp.ru
asking if they would ship the cards COD to Portugal, in Western Europe.

For the price they´re asking... I would even consider buying two of them!

I´ll post their answer...
