Help to revive my Siemens C35i (rectangle on the screen)

I need help.

Yes, your first impulse was to say, read the whole forum. Yes, I spent several days trying to find the answer and I can't for 2 reasons:

  1. My english
  2. The explanations... well, I don't know very often what they are talking about becasue I have no idea about the flashing and unlocking world
  3. There is no way to find the files of tools specified or the repair bin flash files or eeprom files
So, I ask here, again, once more, for help.

I already requested help (for the files he offer) to Drug_Store via PM because he/she posted this way to revive a C35i mobile, bad, sadly, no answer.

My problem is that I'm a dumb and a total newbie on this and I din't make a backup before trying to unlock the phone, so, here I'm, with a mobile that only switches on for a second and on the screen just appears a bar or rectangle.

I can use the tools I found such as x35 flasher and repair, Zsiemens 0.96 (ripazn) or Ksie, but nothing else.

The current log file for the phone given by Ksie95 is this, that says that the IMEI is corrupt:

Code:
KSIE - Engine build 2, Frontend build 2
Thanks goes out for the following:
Maxim, Rolis, Sergei, PapaJoe, Lead,
TheWizard, Jozso (for hardware and cable
support and of course beta testing),
Victor, Pinker, Tom,
and all the others who supports ...
COMM_LoadBoots : selected phone family is 0
TTY_OpenCOMPort : opening COM1
COMM_IsBootRunning : bootcode does not seem to be running
COMM_LoadBoots : Waiting to power on the phone ...
COMM_LoadBoots : phone is powered on
COMM_LoadBoots : internal loader version is 00.02
COMM_LoadBoots : original IMEI is 44919158176474
SEC_BCDIMEIToNormalIMEI : invalid decoded IMEI
COMM_LoadBoots : flash IMEI (4) is corrupt
COMM_LoadBoots : found SIEMENS C3I lg3 v24 (2)
COMM_LoadBoots : flash ids are 000422E4 [00000000] - E404
COMM_LoadBoots : phone ids are 5EE629B3 [5EE629B3]
MISC_CheckFileName : 'Siemens C35 NEW - 44919158176474.LOG' already exists, new filename is 'Siemens C35 NEW - 44919158176474-2010.06.21-04.34.10.LOG'
O.K.
The only help I found on how to recover the mobile is on a russian forum talking about the phone dead (death?) by the black rectangle on the screen, but, with online translators, I have not clear what to do. Worst, again, I can't download or find the files needed to repair the phone (most links are broken). And no much explanation on how to use those tools.

So, please, would you help me explaining very clear what to do (remember my level and my english handicap) and by providing me the tools or files (I can't find almost anything on the net as are files/hosting of 2002/2004 and then, dead links)?

I see your post and it is true, more sites related to repair this phone it is dead.
But, if you have small experience in GSM, you have chance to revive your phone.
You need to fullflash your phone with the good fullflash backup file and unlock your phone after.
The other methode is to change flash cip from the other (identicall) phone and unlock it after.
My personal opinion is to buy other modern phone and do not loose your time to repair. It is too old model of the phone...
That is.

I know it's a relic but I don't want to let it death. Tonight I'm still trying the russian method, risking a lot with the bad translations and the tools I was able to find.

But, anyway, dagos, as you tried to help me, what does mean when you say "flash cip"?

A flash file maybe?

I already found and downloaded some files that I have no idea what are that are talked to be full flash, or at least I downloaded as is. The filenames are:

ff_35_401.rar
ff_35_404.rar
ff_35_489.rar
ff_35_401.rar
ff_35_9020.rar

I think if I would use this, I should use the 404 bin file, but I don't know, if someone could help me....

Please, any help appreciate.

Well I finally ended entering the ff_35_404.bin file which looks like has v18 firmware and the phone is working but in RUSSIAN!!!!! and with an IMEI that is not mine and still says that the flash IMEI is corrupt.

It can recognize a SIM when I insert, but when I enter the PIN it tells телефон заблокирован код сети

What looks to mean that the phone is network locked.

I tried Ksie and other programs but I can't. I'm still trying other softwares but I think I'm not going to be able to fully unlock. Also, I can't upgrade the phone to english or my language.

Oh, ***, I did with Zee siemens G3, but now the IMEI of my mobile is not the original

Could I set my original IMEI?

Could I restore my eeprom with my settings?

I'm going to try more things to fully try to fix the mobile.

I have no idea how I did, but worked.

I updated with my language file C35_2403, after several errors and tries and again a black rectangle.

Then, I tried with the unknown IMEI to unlock with ALLsiemens (Ksie 5.1) from the russian page, and the black rectangle disappeared with a sucessfull unlock. Then I changed the IMEI to the originall (with a lot of fear about start to do all again) and WORKED.

Now I only have the doubt if I could resotre my eeprom settings.

What do you think about this, could I do? I don't want to do nothing until I read your experts opinions.

Well, I go to sleep. It's enough for a loooooong night and over a week searching and trying to get an answer.

I add a file at two mirrors with useful utilities for others that can't find them. It's a rar with an ISO file (portion of a backup CD image with all my mobile siemens).

The files haven't any order. Sorry for this. It's exactly the same mess I downloaded these days.

Inside are utilies as Unisiemens, x35 flasher and (&) repair, Zsiemens by ripazn, ksie95 (ksie 2), ksie 5.1, all siemens 5.1 (other version of ksie 5.1), siemens crc all (siemcrcall), firmware/flash updates (siemens folder and others), manuals and service manuals for C35i, babelfish translations of the russian forum page and other files.

Utils-Siemens.rar for C35/C35i at MediaFire
Utils-Siemens.rar for C35/C35i at Megaupload
