How extract *.xbi file from WinSwup


Subj.

In my notebook (Toshiba Satellite 4015) and in Win98SE i can't flash x45 with WinSwup. Can't bootstrap mode.
In DOS flash (swupXX.exe *.xbi ) work fine.

Need extract *.xbi from WinSwup???.exe

I don't think that the conversion is posible ... But what is the error massage is apearing when you run winswup ???

U need to use different Data cable !

Ïðîñòî îðèãèíàëüíûå êàáåëÿ íå øüþò íå ñ45 íå ìå 45 è.ò.ä.. íàäî êóïèòü íà ðûíêå îáû÷íûé êàáåëü èëè ñäåëàòü ñàìîìó...è âñíå áóäåò ðàáîòàòü .... À îðèãèíàëüíûå êàáåëÿ ïî÷åìó òî íå øüþò ñ ïîìîøüþ Âèíñâàïà è âîîáøå âñþ 45 ñåðèþ

On another computer (desktop) this cable work fine with x45.
Power for MAX232 - external +5v, not infernal from COM Port!
With autoignition (andromeda scheme).

Com Port on Notebook also working.....


it is nonsens

i am having the same problem, except for mine goes through flashing, but with no power @the end.
I think it has to do with the speed of the COM port under dos, in your case, disable the proccessor's cache (internal) i think it will do the trick, i am not sure it will work after flashing though>

Fofodaman is right, I have the same problem with my Omnibook HP800CT, Intel 166 MHz, 32 MB RAM, 98 % soft works but some doesnt. In according to this i rather use desktop mashine with processor >200 Mhz and Win98Se too.

& you wanted to save money by upgrading

i kept my 486-DX266 untill now true i can not find a controller card, & when you do, it will cost you the same for an Intel P3 proccessor but it helps.

anyhow, disabling the internal & external cache should help.
