Hi Guys,
No need to get personal. I appreciate any advice given and at this point I can try anything to get the phone working. I dont care if I completely kill it in the process either. It will be a learning experience.
My S46 was locked to ATT originally. I dont have martech software. Is there any other way to upload the flash you could give me? Can i use a cracked version?

Okay once and for all.

S46 IS NOT SIMILAR TO S45.
S46 is TDMA and GSM and is a totally different phone.

Freia + S46 = DEAD S46

SST (Yes, even cracked), Martech, or Griffin CRD can all unlock S46 OK.

The solution to Wrong-Unlocked S46 as S45 is writing a good EEPROM. I know this is available to Martech customers since I use their product. SST... I know you're listening-- I assume you provide it as well.

CRD is only for unlock, not repair.

Bottom line... Once you have killed S46, you need original Martech or SST. If you don't have it, take the phone to someone who does.

Ok. The craked sst is what killed the phone on the first place. I guess I will need to find people with the original SST as u suggest and find good EEPROM. But why is the original needed? Does it calculate checksums based on the good EEPROM file which the cracked version dont? Just curious.

A read-out EEPROM is fine too as long as you rewrite the original IMEI afterwards.

Basically, when the phone is unlocked as the wrong model, the wrong part of the EEPROM is overwritten with the unlocked data, resulting in missing/corrupted information. You need to make it right again

I used the cracked SST to unlock it. I also used it to readout the original EEPROM, but I dont know if it did it correctly. It sure didnt repair the phone right... So I may need an original EEPROM. Do you know where I can get one from and if only original softwares can write it?

Okay, they are not similar, I know that, but "Wrong software" repair solution is same as S45, and most of other siemens phones. Upload good EEPROM, make IMEI repair, enter original IMEI, and that's it. Ofcourse, if is not hardware fault. That's all that I was trying to tell. When phone is dead, TDMA doesn't work anyway! Phone specifications doesn't mather. I apologize for misunderstanding that I was started, and that was my fault that I didn't specified what exactly I mean when I was told that phones are same. Mea culpa! But my solution of this problem wasn't wrong, and I think that nobody is misguided with my post!
Once again, sorry. This forum is for helping, and not for discussion who is smarter. No hard feelings, and sorry again.

Well, you can use cracked Martech, but I, as Martech Box user, don't wanna support this. Better take this phone to somebody who has equipment, and let him fix it. As you maybe noticed, cracked software in most of cases screw phones. If you wanna do something (like unlocking), better spend some money for solution. You will get support, flashfiles, and all possible help that you may need in this job. If nobody buy solution, then teams don't have money for research new software, and in the end there will be nothing to crack.

Here you have, but they are not SST EEPROMS. This is for use with Martech (original).
