Insert SIM after unlocking
What can be done for this?

Only thing is, this is usually hardware, try reflashing MCU only.
It is possible that it happened DURING unlocking, because pushing the connect into the back of the handset does slightly flex the mainboard and that may have caused a dry/cracked solder joint to get worst.
But it may have been there BEFORE appearing intermittently and the customer is just taking a chance
