ME 45 strange "shutting down" problem - GSM-Forum

Hi,
I'm using Siemens ME 45, about 3 years and until now I didn't experience any problems

. But today something very strange has happened=> I wanted to see my tasks and like usual I pointed to Office=>Organiser=>Calendar, when I pressed the "select" button it made a very strange beep and
turned itself off!!!! I tried to fix it: clean the SIM connectors; pull the battery out for a minute, but there wasn't any positive effect

.

Do you have any idea what could be the reason for this strange problem and how to fix it?
Note that I need to back-up all the info of the GSM, plz tell me how!

ми на киллер2@абв.бг нарочно го написах на кирилица за да не ме залее поредната спам вълна, просто го "преведете" на латиница адреса

Кажете как да извадя всичкото инфо от телефона имам data cable.

А проблема с 2 думи е следния, като щракна на Календар-а GSM-а изписква на умряло и се изключва. Това го прави от днес сутринта, Не съм получавал никакви SMS-и.

P.S. Please if you try to explain me something, do it step-by-step beacuse i'm really new to GSM moding/reapiring thanks again.

The problem is that when I select Calendar the phone is turning itself OFF

i think it's a s/w prob.
have you try to refresh the eeprom?

Yes I suppose too it's a firmware problem. I searched the Siemens site but I found firmwares only for new models phones. Please tell me from where I can download newest firmware?

And how to safe all the info stored in the phone?

P.S. Is it possible to flash ME45 with a firmware for a greater model?/like the Cd-RWs/
