MMC, SD and IBM Microdrive - GSM-Forum

hi. as you're all probably aware, MMC's are currently only up to 128mb. sd's are about 512mb, correct me if i'm wrong. just thinking, would it be stupid to put an sd card in sl45? i mean they're the same size apart from the thickness, whcih doesn't matter if you put it in without the card holder. anyone tried this or knows if it's compatible? becuase many camera's are compatible with either mmc or sd so they must be quite similar cards.

about IBM microdrive, is there any chance of this being compatible? it's a lot to ask but 1G....

By the way, SD have 1Gb at the moment, and MMC is 256Mb for now..

Personaly I think, that it (MMC) MUST work on SL, coz it`s same structure.. And theoretically (as I have readed) that technology of MMC is possible till 2Gb not bigger, but it is possible that 256 dosen`t work, coz its locked in flash..
Correct me, if I`m wrong..

and why is MMC only possible to 2gig?
