network problems with c45 in Iowa...unlocked phone

joined this forum to see if community can help me out like alot of other Internet forums have saved me from troubles

Here's the stumble I have.

I received an unlocked (verified unlocked) Siemens c45 that is compatible with GSM networks like my local carrier, and I have a SIM card set up for my local network. When I powered up the phone on manual network setting, it says it is looking for my local wireless carrier on the screen, but it won't register..............

........anybody have an idea why I cannot connect? the GSM bands are the same as the phone uses......

try to unlock your phone using unlock software like "Siemens Unlock v5.1 by Nutzo" or Freia. I suggest to use the Freia software. Search on this forum.

Well, I have tried the one piece of software and it refuses to connect to the phone, although other software I have can read it just fine ....... I can't remember if I have tried the Nutzo 5.1, but if it is like all the other unlockers I have tried, I will probably get the "invalid data" error.........but I will try it..........this phone should be unlocked though

Freia is the one that won't connect

..of course "won't connect", used data cable to unlock your phone. Manny unlocking software give the error if you try to connect with the data cable.
Use ksie5.1 (Siemens Unlock v5.1 by Nutzo).
Select type of phone (C45).
Phone must be off and conected to cable.
Press unlock and then press shortly "Power on" of the phone.
Your phone will be unlocked.
If you want to use Freia, you need to change your cable.
Use DCA500 cable for unlocking with Freia. See on attachemment.

im starting to wonder if there isn't something wrong with this phone.....i did what you said and it appeared to work but I get an error that the IMEI 's are bad and it closes the port.................anybody know if the S45 or S46 is like the C45??

C45 is DEFINITELY European, won't work in the US.
S46 is for USA.

Tis question is because C45 phones working on GSM 900 / GSM 1800 Mhz (European fregvency). USA working on GSM 900 / GSM 1900 Mhz.
