The curent is important not the Voltage values ... but this is even a battery problem ( couse the battery does not have enought energy ) or yes your PA is damaged and consumes to much energy not for transmiting the signal but just for working somehow ... that is my ideea ... mabe you are right ... I have a SL45i and once the phones start to signaling me that the battery is to empty and I must chargeit ... I left6 the phone in charger for 8 hours ( during the night ) but in the morning the same message ... i start to play with Siemens Battery Tool and changeing the power level ( voltage level ) values ... but nothing hapents , the same message ... Battery empty please recharge ... then I chnage the PA couse the phone have signal only in the places where the signal must be full ( center of my city for example ) ... but the signal on my display was very weak ... so I change the PA and now I have signals where some other newer phone don't ... SL45 is a very good phone ... sorry for my english , hope that this will help you to solve your problem , best regards, alianu.

In fact, my question is there any service software to change RF power level. I know that RF power of all GSM phones are 330mW. For me 500 mW would be great . But my another idea is about duplexer of my SL45. If this duplexer was adjusted little wrong by factory, transmitting and receiving work unsystematicly.I am a Motorola radio technician. Here my office many times i am adjusting duplexers. But these duplexers are for conventional repeaters. I am talking about 403 -470 MHz UHF and 136 - 174 Mhz VHF duplexers. If you checked your phone duplexers was very small and it is not able to change adjusment and they had soldered it. By the way here in my office everybody using nokia phones and they communicate perfect me not. Always they asking me about selling my phone. I like my phone. it has great things. Mp3 java... Patching many times.... Anyway maybe i sell my phone and buy new one. Best solution..

Changing your RF to 500mW, will result in an excessive battery usage, and might get "power" problems on other components.
