It may need log calculation or map after flash, but it works fine.

My personal advise is to start flashing with SL45 v19, write log calculation and map file, and only after upgrade to v52 or v54( Works faster and less battery consumer on JAVA App, SMS, ect).
This way works 100% for me.

Tip: After upgrading SL42 -> SL45 using one method or the other, it may need (because of wrong batt indicator, after starting rechage shutdown by himself, etc) battery re-calibration. Use Siemens Sensors Tools to repair that.
