SL42 --> SL45i and now no WAP - GSM-Forum

Did update my SL42 LAG to SL45 v. 52, flashed repairmap and finally updated to SL45i v. 54, wrote sector 5005 and Java works

, but WAP does not work any moore

The WAP settings are correct, but any time i try to connect, I receive "Network not responding".

Further I cannot connect to Internet over IRDA. Tried under Windows and Linux - every time the phone dials (IRDA works) and 1 second later i receive "No Carrier". When I try to perform the same steps with a SL42 LAG of a friend (same provider data), then everything is OK and WAP works.

Any idea ???

yeah very dummy thing to do

u only needed to upgrade ur MMC not flash any 5XXX sector on version 52

NoNo,

you are wrong. WAP did also not function before flashing 5xxx.

Before flashing 5xxx Java did not work, but after flashing 5xxx Java works great, but WAP does not work as it has not worked before.

If you had a SL42 LAG before and you do update it to ver. 54, Java works only after flashing 5xxx (ver. 52 works without flashing 5xxx).

I found the problem

I have been using a old GSM card from 1996. With this card I can use WAP on my old S35, but not with my new Sl42, i.e flashed SL45i.
Using another GSM card, solved everything.
