Question sl45 unblocking codes

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and the mobile phone technology. I believe there is a key code that can be entered into the phone to unblock it that is calculated from the IMEI number. Is this correct?
If it is how do I calculate the code?

More help needed?

If there is no code - what is the *#0003*--------# coding for, there being 8 digits in the second part of the code?

Also I will need a bit more information on the cable and map technique myself.

Thanks in advance for all help posted.
