Hi there mate !

Actually, you have to MAKE your own new cable to map your phone..

No, don't worry, it's not that hard, even I managed to make my own cable and unlock my S45

If you have a RS-232 cable, there is an easy way to make your cable, with the original Siemens cable, if you see what I means..
I had to make my cable with the original cable to unlock the phone, and I had to be able to re-use it afterwards as a normal cable.
There is ONE easy way to do it.

Acutally, you have to put 4 volts between pin 1 and pin 4, so that the chip in the serial plug gets a 3~4 V input..
With some phones, 4 volts come out of pin 4 of the phone, but on Me45, S45 etc, it doesn't work..

So, what I suggest you to do is :
1 Cut you cable in two,
2 put all the wires back together again,
3 take two AA batteries, link them together,
4 Put the - on the black wire (=pin 1 = ground)
and put the + on the GREEN wire (=pin 4)

The point is that the 4 V go to the serial plug, not to the telephone.. So, don't link the GREEN wires back together at step 2, and but the + of the AA bateries on the Green wire going to the serial computer plug.

5 log with a logger
6 post a map file request
7 load map to phone
8 you are done !!!

Well, that works with a Rs-232 serial plug.

Lots of luck mate

If you have any questions BEFORE cuting your cable, just ask.

Oh yes,
and when you are finished, just put all the wires back together, and you will be able to use your cable just like a normal RS-233 cable.

Greetings !

Ps : I made one small mastake in my explanations..;

Don't put the 4 volts on the GREEN wire, but on the WHITE wire..

Sorry, and good luck !

Greetings !
