unlock code for C45 - GSM-Forum

can anyone help me or at least point me in the right direction as regards unlocking my siemens c45 such as do i need special software or the like? can anyone also tell me what the phone ID is and IMEI numbers are or how i would find these out and what do i do with them. If anyone can help this poor missguided fool i would be most grateful, and if they can also show me exactly how i find the above codes etc i would be eternally grateful
