Hello.

Whole process is very simple. First of all, you must find a WINSWUP for C45. When you have it, just plug the phone to the computer with cable, run the program (WINSWUP), press "Start", wait for about 5-10 min. and it is done. If your cable doesn't have autoignition function, it's easier to flash while "PreCheck" and "PostCheck" options are disabled. You'll also need to press RedButton on the phone for about one second, at the begining of the flashing process.

It is recomended to update software under Win98SE; I don't know actually if it works under 2k/xp, as I've never tried to flash under those OS before. You should also prevent your system from crashing during flashing - turn off all unnecessary programs.

If you have other questions, post them here.

I have that program and I only get this erroe message: "Cant connect to Mobile with BootstrapLoader on Com 1"

i know its tight connected. I did a test and it was dectected.

And I have other programs which I have used with the mobile and no problems to connect it.

What can be wrong then?

Hi.

There are two possible reasons for appearing that error messege.

One - you're using wrong cable (e.g. original Siemens data-cable, similiar to that one which comes with S/ME45 package) - those cable don't work with WINSWUPs (or any other "service" software).

Two - you're cable doesn't have autoignition function. It's not a problem, unless you press "Red Button" on your phone for a single moment (a little less than one second), while whole flashing process is starting (you should see the exact moment for yourself - it's when progress bar starts to move and it stops in about 25-30% of the first bar). It's a littly tricky, but you can do it without any problems, after practising a bit.

I hope I could help you with that.

Hello again.

There is a possibility to flash using original cable, however, you must use UpdateTool (which AFAIK is not available for C45). WINSWUP are made for service usage only and you cannot use them with original cable for Siemens.

I've heard that you can flash Siemens with WINSWUP and original cable, but it must be a x35 model. However I cannot confirm that, as I've never tried to do it...
