C60 Cable problem? - GSM-Forum

Using freia v 10, Have original siemens data cable and im connecting it through a usb to serial port cable. cant seem to be able to get a connection allthough the cables seem to be installed ok, Im thinking it could be the driver for the cable (USB to SERIAL PORT CABLE). Has anyone used this method before because my laptop dont have a serial port.

With freia U need to use chinese made serial cable...

mmmmm dont know, think its the usb to serial adaptor im using, Help here please

I already told U ..U need seria/COM/ cable..U can find it on e-bay for about 5EUR..

You can use USB cable also, with USB to COM driver

Otherwise, I confirm that COM cable can be bought for 5 eur

Hi mates,

you can use any siemens x55 com cable. Also usb to com bridge cable is assumed like a com cable ( fastest).
otherwise take any chinese cable and modify it like
2 ground (black)
3 tx (White)
4 rx (blue)
In Algeria the x55 com cable is about 2.50 euro
