Is this C55 unlocked or what? :)

First of all I'd like to thank everyone for sharing their know-how with us. I'm just a brand-new user (from Istanbul-Turkey) in this forum. Although I don't have much time to visit all threads, I try to do my best as a new user and look for what I need before just posting a message.

So after spending a few hours in the forum, I just want to check what I have learned from threads and start working. First I upgrade my C55 firmware to V24 successfully. And then try to unlock C55. I use Griffin software to unlock C55 and process finished without giving any error. Here is the output printed from software.

As I am rookie user, I hesitate if I done it right, cause original IMEI is still seemed to be (locked). Do I have any chance to confirm whether it's OK or not? And as a last question about this issue, why do we need to unlock phones? Just for using our phone with another GSM operator SIM card while being in another country or removing some limits such as transfer capabilities etc.

For example I still cannot send melodies bigger than 1000byte to my C55. I think this is factory limited and there should be a way to remove this.

That freia shows, that ur IMEI is locked is ok. And u have no chance to change it!

U can remove the ringtone with Data Exange Software. But u have to activate early Bird first. (Use Qick EEPROM Tools)
