Dead MC60

Hi all,

My MC60 suddenly turned off by itself and immediately gives a blue screen and a buzz when I try to turn it on. There are several topics on this problem, but I can't figure out what to do... I'm quite handy with computers, but I have no experience with mobile phones.

It would be very nice if I could get it repaired, but I have a back-up phone. Most important for me is to get my phone numbers, sms's, memo's, etc. back!

Tried Siemens Data Suite, but it could not connect to my phone (due to power off?). Tried Joker 0.3.5.6, but it gives "No ping mobile" or is just loading forever.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Thumbs down

Thank you very, very much Dagos.

On the forums I found some tutorials on removing the simlock with Joker, but that's not what I want to do. So, one more question: which functions of Joker do I need to execute to bring the phone back to life? If possible, I want to keep my old sms's, memo's, etc.

Again, thanks in advance.

...normarly, if you have this simptom (and you don't flash or unlock your phone before), somme fields is corrupted in eeprom. To repair this malfunction you need to format your phone (Del Instance function from the Service menu) but you loose everything (phone book, menu, all settings, ringer...). For using this function, you need first to enter in Service Mode, after click on this button and wait ( ~3 minutes) to restart your phone. First time your screen will be white and after (~one minute) booting. After this, you need to use FFS init file to restore the Siemens original files and settings....
Other method is to fullflash your phone using good fullflash file and after unlock it ( or fullflash included bootcore and check only "ReCalc Keys" in the Flash menu). Your phone will have the same setting , files, firmware version and language pack from the backuped phone...
I suggest: post log file from Joker to see which methode is the best for you...
