How to unlock M55 without restpoint and How to repair dead phones.

Here is how to repair and unlock your M55.

1. Download dataexchangesoftware_v267.exe
2. Download px5amd
3. execute mobile from your desktop (step 1), conect cable to phone, upload px5amd.jad and px5amd.jar extracted from step 2 to Java/jam folder of your phone.
4. (phone) go to Menu -> card-explorer -> Java -> jam -> px5amd and execute px5amd (the file without down arrow )
5. type 39116 when ask you for a code. Press 2 (path bootcore).
The phone will turn off.
6. Download Freia_M55_AMD and execute it.

My settings in Configuration are:
Com port for cable: COM1
speed comunication: 115200
Boot type: test point (x5x)
Com port setup: RTS and DTR enable.
Process information: Low

Press UNLOCKING button.
When program ask for, press power button of your phone.
If everything was ok your M55 phone is free.

Guide for troubleshooting:

A. If your phone doesnt boot.
B. If your phone doesnt boot but appear a blue screen while a few seconds with a buzz and then it turn off.

PART A:
1. Download a Full flash of 14Mb (M55_v.11_lg92_freia.zip from unlockeasy.com --- http://www.unlockeasy.com/modules.ph...ownload&cid=50)
2. Download freia 10 biuld 9 (I have test it maybe other version work too)
3. Execute freia, ATTENTION select "Siemens M55" NOT "siemens M55 BOOT" . Go to -> Configuration functions:

My settings are:
Com port for cable: COM1
speed comunication: 115200
Com port for dongle: COM1
Boot type: test point (x5x)
Com port setup: RTS and DTR enable.
Process information: Medium
Boot Type: Patched bootcore.
Then press OK button

3.1 Press "Write flash to phone" button.
3.2 Now you have to Search and select SIEMENS M55 LG92 V11 - 00200000.FLS (14Mb)
3.3 Select "firmware" in Presets option.
3.4 Press red power button when the program ask for it.
This process will be slow, maybe 45 min or more.
3.5 Remove battery phone and put it again.
In this point when you try to power on the phone, will appear a blue screen with a buzz while a few seconds a then it will turn off.

PART B:
3.6 Remeber Select "Siemens M55" NOT "Siemens M55 BOOT" and the same configuration (boot type, speed, etc)
3.6.1 Press "Unlocking functions" and select "Direct unlock no map is saved" and "USE ORIGINAL IMEI"...
3.6.2 Press red power button when the program ask for it.

And after it... and if G O D was good with you, your phone will be repaired and unlocked.

i hope you can give also instructions for repairing dead C55 coz mine is dead.
these are the following errors that i have encountered:

1. EEPROM IMEI (17) is corrupt
2. RAM error (only occurs once and maybe it's bcoz of my settings)
3. boot file not accepted
4. update is not accepted
5. erase/read/write error at 00800000 (or sometimes other block)

i cannot unlock, write map, write firmware, EEPROM, boot core. please help me. i've cut the test point and cut it right.

in the configuration, choose bootcore bug, then unlock the phone using original imei and no map saving. If the phone still dead, write a good eeprom from another phone and rewrite the original imei from back of the phone.
If it fails in this case too,you have to full flash the phone and write the original imei.

there are things missing in the method of unlocking M55 you mentioned.
After patching the bootcore with pxamd5, you should first write bootcore and then unlock, otherwise the message of the update was not accepted will appear and the phone still locked. So do write a bootcore after patching.

Second, for blue screens, you don't always need to fullflash the phone, infact even not at all needed. Just download the contrast program and it will take you to service mode, adjust the contrast and save it. the program is the contrast by Acid.

anyway, thanx for your information, but try to have a complete information. I like it cuz it is detailed for beginners but there are still things missing and they dicussed lots of times in other threads.

i can't really flash because it's giving me the same errors as above. i have use freia9 and martech software but no good still. is there any other resorts?

I SOLVED IT!!! my phone is alive. one thing that i have learned.... FLASH/UPGRADE WITH FULL BATTERY. it's all my problems reason why i can't repair it. i used external power from my PC IDE power.. use the 5V power. thanks all for the help m8s!

ATTENTION: THIS METOD WORK IN MC60 AND C60 TOO !!!!!
Just Select MC60 or C60 in freia with the same bootcore file (goodc60bootcore.fls)

to go to phone menu u need original simcrad or motorola tet card and if u haven't what u can do to unlock your phone
