Member: 17711 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1,858 | IMEI on new Siemens phones x5x is stored in OTP area, so it can't be changed without use of patched flashes (there is no such available for now as I know). But however, you can try to change flash IC to empty new one in the phone and set OTP area with programmer like **** to values took from another phone, then wrote fullflash from another phone and Repair IMEI. I never tried this but seem to be working solution. |

Member: 22044 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Same problem? Hi there, A friend of mine found an SL55 and it's IMEI is disabled by two of the mobile providers in our country. The 3rd one lets the phone in, but he's using not them. So what he figured out is what if he would change the IMEI. However using freia or any other software we could change only the IMEI in the flash/eeprom --> phone won't turn on because it differs from the "built in" IMEI. What could we do? Is there a way to change the "built in" IMEI by a software, calculating some code as by DCT-4 Nokia's? Or only a hardware change could help? If only hardware optoin is available, can I buy that chip or whatever is needed somewhere? Any help is welcome!! Thanks a lot, bye: Tommiki |
