SX1 Security code changed after format ?? - GSM-Forum

Anyone know ?
Is it right .. if i formatted SX1, the security code would be changed ??

@prasetyo

Try default code which is 12345 after format. Cant say if its being reset or not !

It's Nokia Symbian platform !!

it does not reset.

in my case it does not. (had 90909 security code, remain 90909) if i remember well

Dear friends,

I remeber after format my code not changed, but after upgarde to fw15,when i enter 12345 code one time,only one time my phone have been blocked!

THE UNLOCK CODE DOESN'T RESET AFTER FORMAT OR FLASH!!!

TRIED IT! DON'T WORK!!!

subscribe to noname23`s answer.
just hardformatted my phone today and the code did not change...
also, when reflashing, the phone code doesn`t change (it would be likely for us to change but it doesn`t). I think it is located in the boot flash, flash that we do not rewrite when upgradeing with winswup.

also ..i've downgraded it to fw12 then upgraded it back to fw15 and the security code still not reset

@prasetyo, yes, my phone was in warranty but i would have to wait one month for unlock...

so, better do not have to use warranty
