Dead S65 v25 UK Vodafone

Hi, (sorry in advance for this long post! - I just can't find a solution to this problem).

My phone died (S65 Vodafone UK) when trying to write a MAP file using EEPROM tool 3.15. It failed on blocks 5008, 5009 and 5077. I thought I'd be able to get around it by loading all from phone, adding the MAP blocks, and writing all back (Save All), however this killed the phone.

I did a full backup before this using Eeprom tool 3.0

Now the phone just beeps once when I try to turn on, and nothing happens, just a single horizonal line on the screen that fades away.

Following advice in another thread the solution seemed to be to use x65Flasher to flash the phone. However it just won't see the phone, although if I enable logging (/L) I can see a byte being received for pressing the power button, and when it beeps (tries to turn on).

The only tools I can get to 'see' the phone for a moment is Eeprom tool 3.0. To do this, I hold down Power, and just as the phone tries to turn on, I press Init. It reads the phone info, although IEMI is 00000000000000000. Any further actions (read/write) crash the program.

I have also tried Legija's Easy unlocker, which sometimes connects to the phone, shows IEMI 0000000000000000, takes an hour and looks to have finished but no change. The repair option says "power on phone" but never gets any further.

V_Klay isn't able to write a bootcore patch to the phone, it just gives up saying i/o error.

SST 5.31 has never worked when I've tried it for unlocking, and it still does the same thing. When I try turning the phone on, it says Starting Service Mode. Never any more, same for all functions.

I am mainly trying this with a Siemens DCA500 serial cable. I have also tried a China USB cable, but as the phone is dead at the moment, no COM port exists as the USB isn't there.

Is there any hope for this handset??

Thanks!

Mybe someday when someone discover testpoint,(if exsist).

You obiesly failed to patch eeprom ( if u patch bootcore ???) . U MUST patch eeprom to see block 5008,5009 ....IF U NOT SEE at load all eeprom this block, U CANOT vrite map to eeprom, because u dont have patched flash.
IF u have patched bootcore ( ? ), u must write full flash ( if u have backup),- skip botcore . AND full flash MUST be patched with AUTOPATCHER.
In that case u can write map in eeprom and revive u phone.

Crumarix1 is right with eeprom blocks and patch for block "unlocking".
Concerning sst and v_klay: those tools will not work with DCA500 cable (if you did not modify it to service cable). You need serial service or usb DCA510 cable. China usb cable is not good one, because when phone is switched to service mode, virtual com port disappear from your system.

I just read one post in slovak forum, guys who killed CX65 by "Save all" in eeprom tool, repaired it with SST. CX is now alive and working well. So try another cable and SST.
