Sl75 Escada flash error.

I have a SL75 and I am trying to flash it with SVN 47 lg3, I downloaded it from a link on this web site. I keep getting an error when I try to flash it. I get a message saying; " Secured update not possible, device not prepared". If I try to flash it without the pre-check I get a different error message; It says." Error on waiting for Ack EOT".

Anyone knows what's the problem? My wif has a SL75 as well and I flashed it with no problem. Thank you very much for your help in advance.

...you maked the firmware upgrade using SL75 FW47 Language Pack 3 file from the "landy" site and not working... This message (if you make the "normal" upgrade - without skip pre-check) appair if you have the other bootcore inside, if missing comunication, not use the correctly datacable or your phone is not runing in "Normal Mode". If use the SkipPre-check option, you need to have the phone closed, use the service cable and push shortly (and quicly) the Power On button after starting software.

Thank you dagos,

I hope you'd bear with me because I am new to this! The phone is connected fine I can communicate with it through Papua! I tried skip pre-check as you said but that did not work either!

Maybe there is another way to fix this phone, please let me know if you can. Basically there is a problem with the file system right now, I have 2 sets of everything under "my stuff" 2 sounds entry, 2 pictures entry and so on! That causes issues when I try to transfer stuff from/to the phone, I keep getting error messages that folders don't exist.

The other problem is bluetooth, under "visible to others" there is nothing to pick, no settings!!

And the final issue with the phone is T9, only English works and nothing else!

Please let me know if you can help. I can use papua if you can tell me where to start. Thanks again.

...hmmm,
in your log file (readed from papua - info) seems to be everyting OK. For what you need to make downgrade (from your phone FW52 version to the FW47) ???
To make the firmware downgrade you need to have the service cable (serial SIE C55 cable, DCA500 or DCA510) and make it with option Skip Pre-Check....
If you find the other Language Pack for your phone (for the last Firmware 52) doesn't exist other, only LP 01 (the same with in your phone).
If you want to have the same startup ring, pictures....you have two options:
- use Phone Manager (with your data cable) save in your PC sounds, pictures.... from first phone and upload in the second phone.
- make fullflash backup (using service cable) from the your wife phone (with FW 47), fullflash your phone (use X65Flasher) and unlock it with papuautils. To connect in service mode with X65Flasher and Papuautils you have SKEY and BKey calculated (in your log file...).
I propouse to use the first option
That is.

The phone is dead now! I tried to back up the files using the Phone Manager but I kept getting errors so I went with the full flash from the other phone. Now, the phone does not start, when I push the power button I only get a click, that is it.

I can still access the phone in papuautils but can't get it in factory mode, I guess the codes changed! I can also get X65Flasher to connect to the phone so I just need the proper way to do this. BTW, I did not back up the Bootcore, do I need to? I don't know what happened, I was very careful! Do I need to back up the bootcore too? How do I get X65Flasher to do it because it won't now, it says something about/B!!

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and thanks.

...if you flashed using X65Flasher,defauld the bootcore area not is writed AND DON'T TRY TO MODIFY THIS ANYMORE! You need only to unlock your phone using Papuautils and your phone will start after this. Use the testpoint procedure to enter in Service Mode, go to the "Codes" menu, click on "Calculate SKey + BootKey" and wait. If everyting is OK, wait to this keys to be calculated and (after this) click on "Enter SKey (Bkey) in phone and wait. Enter again in Service Mode and see on the log if appair the status Factory Mode. Now your phone is unlocked and start normarly.
Search on this forum, exist more posts HOW TO UNLOCK S-Gold phones using testpoint procedure.

dagos,

Thank you.

I searched around for the tp stuff for the sl75 but could not find any pics or diagram. Do I have to open the phone to do that?

Thank you for taking the time to help me out, I am new to this and hopefully one I can return the favor to someone else.

...OK.
To use the testpoint, you need to open your phone....
For the testpoint pictures, download from http://papuas.allsiemens.com/TP_SL75.rar
This operation is complicated, you need to know how to do it and you need to working only with PC and phone PCB. I suggest to fullflash again your phone using X65Flasher ( I hope you don't modifyed the bootcore area) and lower SL75 firmware version. I will search and give it to you.
Normarly, your phone will be connected to X65Flasher. Try this and send me in PM the config.ini file (this file is located in the X65Flasher folder root.

Thank you. I just need to figure out the correct way to read the keys via TP.

Someone posted this TP at a Russian site, http://img80.imageshack.us/my.php?im...sl75269to3.jpg

It is different from what you told me to use? Can I use it, is it safe?

...I don't know. I don't use this option. Try this variant, but connect to the ground with resistor (value: 10-75 Ohm). This option seems to be identical with the testpoint option for C65;C75;M75 phones (connect to ground reset line).
