S65 unlocking over bluetooth?

Is this possible? Since a bluetooth connection is in essence a COM port...

On a related note; when I try to send a sms, and it says "Call barred", this means My cell is sim-locked, I guess?

Thanks!

(Hrm. Can't find the edit button. Sorry for doublepost.)

Also, what phone is equivalent to S65? SST is supposed to be able to unlock it, but I don't see the option... which one should I pick?

...is impossible to unlock your phone using bluetooth connection. You need to unlock it using the "normal" way (with service cable). Search on this forum, have manny posts regarding to unlocking S-Gold phones. Not use SST software for unlock, use papuautils.

Thanks for your reply.
One of my dorm mates has a cable, but it's not an official one. Label says 'Mobile Action MA-8720P'. Will this be sufficient hardware/cables to unlock it, or do I need something else? The guide you posted makes a distinction between 'data cable' and 'unlock cable' if I'm not mistaken?

...if you have the USB to COMM cable based on the MA-8720P chip, this working on E-Gold and S-Gold Siemens phone series both with data cable (data transfer with 1228800 Kbits) or with service cable (unlock or flash with 115200 Kbits).
So, you not needed to switch cables in the unlocking process...
