I read few days ago that someone took Nokia 6600 battery and made battery for SL45i.Hoooow?????
Does someone know?

Because original bat of sl45 is too expensive (about 25 usd) in my country and often difficult to find and buy, we can modify a Nokia battery (popular) for it. I chose Nokia, BL-4C for 6100, 720mAh, 3.6V (about 7usd).
Steps:
- Remove original sl45 battery from cover, then using knife to cut back side in order to unbind orignal cell. Note that: cut pole (negative and positive), don't remove the fuse and IC on small board.
- Nokia 6100 battery: remove IC and fuse on head (I try keep them, no problem), keep the cell.
- Solder cell 6100 to small board of original sl45 battery with corrected pole and put 6100 cell into the sl45 cover.
Effect: Standby and call time more longer.

I'm sure that 6100 Nokia battery can be fit in cover of SL45. I did that, and someone also.

What?!! You have to pay 25$ for a SL45 battery! Here it costs 2.60 € incl. shippings...

@krafte: Yes, it's terrible in my country (Vietnam)! I don't know why, it's too expensive while SL45 is a too old model. Accessories of sl45 is also like that, eg: original cover cost nearly 40 USD, MMC 64 MB about 45USD from official agency, while I can buy a sl45 phone about 50 USD.

In my country China, a 1000mAh battery costs about usd 5, and even 4 or 3 in somewhere. It is not original but the quality is good.

Maybe, but cell phones and cars in China mainland are very expensive, even made in China!

In China 1000MA battery only 2.5usd it,s very cheap usually SL45 can work 7-10days if you have little phone if you listen to mp3 it can work 12H
