I've never use BL-5C. I used BL-4C and I didn't remove the fuse/IC from Nokia battery (using both fuse/IC of nokia and sl45), and until now it's OK, not any problem. But I think it's more better: you should remove the Nokia fuse/IC battery if you have original one of sl45 battery... But I'm lazy...

Im not sure if it is IC , but BL-5C has something that is on top of the cell. Will it be ok if i dont remove it? Because the batteries here are made of aluminum and i cant solder aluminum
If i dont have to remove it, where do i solder the + and - wires to connect to the sl45 ic? there are 3 terminals in the nokia battery

I`ve only disassembled BR-5C, but IMHO BL-5C is the same. I removed that plate with plastic top because this plastic top more thick than aluminium can. I think you can solder directly on + and - on the board. BTW, never open or heat aluminium can! It contains Lithium and may burns when contacts with atmospheric oxigen.

I've an idea of building an adapter. So diassembling the Nokia battery may not be used anymore. My idea is to use an Europlatine (Click for picture) and solder three cables directly on the Nokia battery connectors and use the europlatine as connector for the SL.

Hi SL45Vietnam. I'm Zinzen at VOZ.
Can I put BL4C Nokia Batt in SL45 case without Siemens IC and fuse?
I've tried, it was okie untill I did some patch yesterday. Now when the rest of batt is 50~75%, my wife shutdown without say goodbye.

I think some patch effect your battery, because some patches use power from battery. I've never tried remove IC and fuse like you (because my battery is OK until now), I think it'll be more better if you use Siemens battery board (including IC and fuse).

Cool

Ladies and Gentleman
I proudly present: Nokia BL-5C in standard SLIK housing, without diassembling the battery. I explained the way in my further post but. I attached one sample picture. IMHO this is the best way to make ANY battery work with SLIK

What do you think of it?
It works best btw

Good work.
I've lost my phone, 'cause I can't show you any picture. But in my SL45, Nokia batteries can be easy move or install with a tray. I'vnt solved, put it (BL-xC) only.
