We have path to 26MHz and now I think that SL have enough power for AAC decoding.
Pathers it is possible that You can write AAC player as BIN or firware?
On this page http://www.audiocoding.com/modules/mydownloads/ is free FAAD decoder with source code.

I thing AAC is good format beacouse audio quality of AAC@48kbp ~= MP3@128
So we can put 2x more music on MMC

If you dont know what AAC is try to encode some music in AAC (from WAV) here http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net is programm which can encode to AAC. Use 3GPP AAC+ or Nero AAC
Or if you don't want do encode music use http://www.tuner2.com/ to listen AAC radio on Winamp 5.12 or newset.

No, sl45 have chip mp3 decoder.
Stutters were only because of soft part - access to disk, etc

It's posiible if egold change AAC stream from MMC to MPEG stream for hardware encoder :lol:

BTW maybe we can incrase quality of dictaphone (bit-rate?) when 26MHz is set? Egold decode vmo by itself...
