Can SL45 access two partition in one MMC card? - GSM-Forum

I splited 32M card in two partition (in linux), each partition is 15M.
But SL access only first partition. Is there any solution to this problem?
The reason why I split MMC card is that I want to use 2G MMC card with SL45. When i used 2G MMC+ card with SL45, it recognize capacity of the card. But it can't read or write file on the card.

Siemens phones (from SLIK to S75) don't work with MMC more than 1 GB

Recognizing capacity - maximum what phone can do with MMC.

I had same result when put 2G MMC Plus Transcend in SL45.

MMC+ can't be handeld by SLIK phone. I think it has something to do with the current used by these cards. Just MMCs should work.
SLIK uses FAT16 - so the physically border is setted to 2GB not more.
Sized more than 2GB is a fake less sizes (including 2GB) could work. Try simply more cards or ask people which card they use (including serial number or manufacturing date)

True, byt not precise. FAT gives access to 2GB of data. If it's more, then simply is not accessible. But first 2GB works.

You're 100% right - I should better write. If more than 2GB are displayed in SLIKs Infoscreen than it's a fake.

Hmm... about MMC and MMC+

Okay backward compatibility. You know MS Word 6? Those documents should be compatible with WordXP but it is not 100% compatible

and I read in a German article about the difference between MMC and MMC+
"Quasi vollständige Kompatibilität zu allen digitalen Geräten mit MMC-Slot"

to some degree a complete compatibility to all digital devices with mmc-Slot.

I used 1G MMC+ with my SL45 and it worked greet. I don't think MMC+ is problem.
