Confused by so many patches

Hello

I need help applying a few patches in my SL45 with v56 firmware. Ive gone through the sticky posts but it seems that an update of every patch is found after every 3 pages in there.

All im trying to accomplish is that I think it is possible to be able to change the animated operator logo through the Application Menu. First, the current situation:

* Im using animated operator logo (the underwater logo by Kaktus) which also installed Animated Operator Logo v04 by RizaPN on my mobile; which uses pictures #647 to #656 for logo.

* I just installed the Application Menu (Release: November 8, 2003). I believe there are updates for that too in which I could totally consfused.

* Plus I have applied quite a few patches but none of them are related to the App Menu.


.. So I want to be able to change the animated operator logo from the Application Menu, instead of using ffmod to switch pictures. I know this is possible because Ive heard people talk about it in this forum. The problem is that which version of the patches should I use? There are so many versions of the same patches And there are so many confusing names such as "Selectable Operator Logo" and "Loadable Operator Logo".. whats the difference in them?

I dont need the digital clock or any thing else supplied with these patches.. I have my clock shown in the place of the Menu softkey button, and the Temperature shown at the clock's place.

Furthermore the Application Menu's Animated Logo function does not turn on/off my animated operator logo. Whats with that?

Could anyone supply me the relevent patch codes? ie. which helps me change operator logo pictures from #647-#656 without using ffmod.
