Well, you can start cleaning up patches threads.

And than soving old editing posts forum bug.

I live in Trento, a small city in the north of Italy ("near" Garda lake)
And I'm going on holidays too

"Thread for discussing" is already there, it's "flash patching 3rd part". Maybe you can change the title into "SLIKv56: Discussion of Flash Patching" or something similar?

Your comment shows the ignorance of the admins&mods about the FlashPatching Thread. In fact it is VERY usefull for the author of the patches to edit the message (=patch) AND for the other users too.

The patching thread is a database for "patchers" all over the world. You can see a very well structure in it. But if riza and other patchers can´t edit the old post, the thread is complex and more confusing.

Why?
May happend that posted patch has to be corrected becuase a bug is found, or improuved with new features, also after 2 days.
Just look at the sticky SL45 patches thread in this section(starting from bottom) for example!

And BTW, now is turning out that this "forum bug" isn't a bug but a your precise chioce... why didn't you (admin or mods) told us before?
We will have finished asking for it!
Anyway this is the first forum I'm member with this "strange" limitation.
Can YOU tell me why, please?

Well I don't think you are right.
Forum searchs or patching threads have posts that are read also if they are very old.

Agree with trustkill about Patching thread is a database. It is not like a "normal" discussion thread. For example, even for the 1st page (the oldest ones, created 536 days ago

), I/we like to have a control for editing the content, so we can use the 1st page as a Table Of Content. Then, everybody needs a specific patch for this Siemens x4x phone, just go the the 1st page to get the correct link.

If you can, make Patching: Technical Discussion sticky. It's a huge knowledge thread! We don't want forget about this topic!

If somebody agree with me Graf. eg. MP3 Player SKIN !!! should be sticky too (rename it to: Siemens Firmware Pictures)

And I think the phone will be nicer with some patches.

Plz choose anyone who will clean the stickys with me! One person which i can contact on ICQ or IRC!
