*** New patch: Modify "View CB" shortcut (#[UpperRight]) to become "Explorer" ...

0x5645E8 : AA 02 -> B2 08
0x5648A8 : DA F1 76 84 -> DA F5 3C E4

Using this patch, we still have the ability to view the flash message by pressing # button when it is displayed.

If you already apply the old patch (for #[UpperRight] shortcut), then you need to reset some values back to the original ...

0x564596 : 2D
0x5645C2 : 1A 01
0x564890 : DA F6 02 28
0x564896 : 2D 08

@Dentin:
I think those data (SMS in mobile) is saved in the EEPROM area. If this is the case, then we can use EEPROM Block Modifier (siemens_eeprom_tools or zsiemenz) to backup those data. Then, we can write them back using the same tools (writer). But, I did not try them yet...

I think you didn't understand me, or maybe I didn't understand you and I knew it, because I wrote too big post and I knew you maybe won't understand me.

I'll explain to you one more time, but I will try to do that litlle shorter.

- I have for about 300 sms messgaes in my SMS archieve.
- SMS archieve is in phone FLEX MEMORY - INTERNAL MEMORY
- I could SIMPLY copy all that messages to hard drive, but than I get for about 300 separate txt messages.
- That makes me very big problems when I want to find some exact message.
- That's why I just want to have ALL THESE MESSAGES in ONE document and I DON'T KNOW HOW?
- I am asking you, or anyone else, if you could help me solve this problem anyhow? I would be happy with XML documet, TXT, DOC or ANY OTHER thing, just to somehow put ALL THESE messages in ONE file.

I hope you understand now, what I am asking for, and hope you can make some solution for it.

THANKS.

hi dentin. i also have the same situation and am thinking it over. what i initially thought of was to make an empty text file. then open one by one the message, copying the content and pasting it onto the new file, keep on appending.

@Dentin:
Then, why don't you just use DOS :

1) Copy all your text files into one single subdirectory (only consisting those text files), let's call it MySMS directory ...
2) Use this command from MS-DOS Prompt :

copy *.txt all_msg.tmp
rename all_msg.tmp all_msg.txt

Is that what you want?

right rizapn. but there's a better shortcut, still on DOS.

c:\sms_archive>TYPE *.txt >> alltexts.txt

now alltexts.txt is one file which has all the contents of the entire directory's TXT files.

@jtdc:
1) Are you sure it works ? TYPE is only able to display one file content ...
2) If we use "copy *.txt output.txt", then it will copy output.txt also. That's why I use another extension for the output. Rename is not usefull unless we need the output with .txt extension also ...

@jtdc

I tried your solution, but it doesn't work for me. It says just that it can't find *.txt. Are you sure you did that? Is there any problem because I have windows 98se, I don't think so, but?

Rizapn, solution is very good, but than again it makes all messages together, without any blank spaces and also without any information about sender or date/time. What do you think?

hi dentin. maybe my suggestion doesn't work in any windows less than win2k. but rizapn suggestion works well on it anyways.

rizapn, great software your ffmod is. however, is there any way it can modify the fonts in typing SMS, in such a way that the default would be the large font, which helps visually impaired people using ME/S45i.

i got this stupid idea to modify images and animations in ME/S45i flash file... using nokia images and animations but i'd take me several months to a year to finish that...

@All:
Please don't ask the same question or request (especially for me) more and more. It will waste all other readers bandwidth. If I have any solution, I will post it here. If I am not posting any answer, most of the time, it means: I have no solution yet ...
