Siemens V35 prototype

Hi all.
I have Siemens V35 Prototype B1+.
Photos
Fullflash backup
This phone works, but SW build is very unstable.
It has big screen and maybe GPRS.
I'm not a programmer, but I can sold/unsold anycomponents of this item.
You can change SW on SL45i for GPRS, if the phone has it (I found link "e-mail" in it). Also I find human, who can help me change SW on V35.
My ICQ: 36666477.
Best Regards.

Hi,
first of all thanks for photos and Fubu.
I had already heard about Siemens V35 (on ebay.de), but I was never able to buy it to play with.

So,
I've flashed my SL45 v56 with your U35v0 flash, but didn't work (phone turn on with "wrong software" screen).
I've written the right IMEI, but still wrong sofware.
I've made other attemps, but no luck.
Maybe there are some CRC to be disabled, but wasn't able to find them.
Morover, I gess screen resolution is very different (can you tell me how many pixel have V35 screen?)

Anyway, digging into fw with Smelter I discovered that:
1.that U35v0 firmware is very old (16.08.00), older than any SL45 fw I have (my oldest SL45 fw, version 03, is 08.12.00) - so, it's a very early prototype fw -> reasonabilly, full of bugs.
2.it has no GPRS capability (SL45 GPRS protos was developed much time later- 02 year)
3.email capability was never really developed
3.pictures resolution (-> screen resolution) is different

So, my opinion is that V35 was an early prototype of futher developed SL45, based on U35 platform (x3x series), very similar to final SL45 hw (PCB and components are almost identical!), with same funcions but with integrated antenna and bigger display.
Why Siemens choose to sell SL45 instead of V35? I really don't know... maybe because SL45 is smaller, or to have integrated antenna only on C-S-ME45, phones that don't have mp3 player capability (so, just marketing strategy).

If anyone knows more about V35, please share his knowledge with us...

About your request, sorry I can't help.
Anyway, I think it's (almost) impossible to update V35 with SL45 fw... always "wrong software".

Best Regards

Lalo
