;*** EBIN. Entry-point for Binary file ***

;Firmware : sl45v56
;Author : rizapn
;Created : March 2, 2005

;Executing binary file through entry point

;The needed BIN file should be *copied* into the folder a:\zbin
;and the filename should be zaX.bin ... (X = a..p)
;The entry-point are :
; zaa.bin -> 0E47310h, zab.bin -> 0E47314h, zac.bin -> 0E47318h,
; zad.bin -> 0E4731Ch, ... zap.bin -> 0E4734Ch
Could I use those entrypoint for graphic menu ? I see 0E47310h -> there are 8 characters but in graphic menu, only 6 ..

No, Kakoii, there are only 6 chars. You have to remove first 0, and h states only that is hexadecimal. So the entrypoint for zaa.bin is e47310.

If i open file .bin from MMC, it runs normally

i used to own an sl45 and i remember that there is such a patch. but the beep is almost inaudible under normal use (when you're using it in a noisy surrounding) i just uninstalled it. unfortunately, i can no longer recall the name of the patch. i don't have it on archive as well as i've replaced my sl45 more than a year ago.

How to change this patch to work with long press of red button?
Code:
;*** (Prorammable) Red Button Menu (v2)***

;Firmware: SLIK56
;Author: abomin
;Release: 28.03.2005

; This patch is based on Riza`s FAV v2 patch and need it (and also ESI patch)
;to be installed.
;This patch adds a new menu that running by short pressing red button
;in main state. Now the long pressing of the red button is not switching
;phone off, so don`t forget to put in new menu "Switch off" item with
;entry-point c24a2c (or e0d560 if you use "Switch off with confirmation" patch).

Maybe this path will be helpful, this add menu on long press red.
Problem is that I want more positions in menu and sc0ty can't help beacouse he sold SL45.
Code:
; SDM. ShutDown Menu v 0.2 beta
; sc0ty ([email protected])
; relased: September 22, 2006
; updated: September 26, 2006

; Menu after long press red button:
; - Off (shutdown)
; - Reset
; - Display (turn lcd off to save battery)

; To turn lcd on press long red button again.

This could indeed be possible - if someone knew where to search and what to change. The current fast forward speed is somewhat slow (it jumps 1 minute songtime in 10 seconds), at least doubled speed would be cool. But ... there are no patch finders and code hackers left for this nice mobile phone. And I personally have not that much experience, time and lust for doing so. Perhaps I find some solution after 30h of search. But 30 hours is worth (even terribly paid) over 100 Euro. For this money you could buy THREE new mp3-players with each 1GB memory. Not neccassary.
I'm staying with my cute little SL45i, with all its features and lacks, until it will be broken or not running anymore one day and dying a silent death ...

Still enjoying with your SL45, I see... me too (whit my S-ME45s)

Come on... it's not this the spirit we had while creating patches, and you know very well.
We didn't make them for money, counting our time spent on them, and deciding if it's worthly valueting costs/benefits for our lives (otherwise... ).
We made them just because WE LOVE to make them....
we loved the mind game under it,
we loved the powerness sensation of playing with opcodes,
we loved the infinite possibilities of realizing ideas -the limit was the sky (and our knowledges -eheh) -
we loved each small improuvment of our little cells,
we loved to make something good for "others", for the whole world, free,
and, finally, indeed we loved (and still love) our phones.

I used "we", because I'm sure for you was the same.

So.. ok, perhaps now we don't have more time, now we are grown up, now we are playing other beautiful "games" (with life, with work, with girlfriend/wife/child, etc...),
and probably it's not our time anymore to make new patches...

BUT PLEASE, don't say it's just for (lack of) money, or for time/cost reasons... this is not true (at least for me).

LONG LIVES FOR OUR SIEMENS!

Best regards

Lalo

Hey Lalo!

You're right, there were many reasons for creating patches - and it was not for money, maybe a bottle of beer (I'd still get one from cyperghost for the one or the other patch).
Just at the moment I'm digging through the huge patch archive, looking here, improving there (for my personal phone configuration). That's because my phone behaves odd and I think it needs a reflash. So I'm creating my personal fubu with the most important pathces.
It costs time but I like my phone. Sometimes it seems as if it will last until GSM is completely replaced by UMTS.

Well said!

So I revise my post: it's not because lack of money or because I want a payment. That was never an argument. I spent hundreds of hours since 2003 for patching stuff, and the appreciation of the community was enough reward.
But nowadays ... I really have less time - or other priorities. Personally I spend almost the whole year 2004 with this, more time than rational... but that's not the point. I'd like to do some programming for SL45, but not searching in Fubu. I always said, disassembling and reverse engineering is not what I'm really able to do. And almost all the good people like RizaPN are vanished. It's a pity, but understandable.
With many people not interested in Siemens phones and patching, there's is less motivation for inventing or writing patches. I'm idealistic, but spending hours and hours for just one person (excluding me) to be happy? Hmm... maybe. I have some time for the next weeks, so I could try.

Not anymore ... unless someone gives us C source code of S(L)45 software.
