SMS Extension 0.69 writes only 512 characters.

I've got problem with midlet Sms extension 0.69(by Rc-filitzer), it should write 1024 characters but on my phone it's only 512.

I've added this patch to a flash
0x293DE4: 0B01 0B04 ; extend 256 up to 1024 chars
but it's still 512 characters.

Someone knows why is this happening???

I already answered Arturo7, but here's the answer again for all who are interested:
Independent from the patch and from the source of Java midlet, the editor can't have more than 512 Bytes. I don't know why, maybe there is a solution with an additional patch, maybe there's not.
To be honest, I didn't test more than 350 chars earlier - I thought, no one will ever write such long messages...

Maybe characters in Java input aren't coded with 7-bit encoding, but they use Unicode?
