Swap Softkeys, how?

Due to old age, the right softkey of my SL45i is already hard to press. Instead of changing the keypad, is there a patch that can simply swap the function of the softkeys?

you open the phone and clean the pad...
Nobody would write a patch for swapping all softkey functions just for you

I've read in previous old posts that it is recommended to just do this, open the phone and clean the pads.I've actually downloaded the video tutorial on opening the SL45.But I was hoping someone had created a patch so I need not open my SL .

So, I'll just open my SL then.I just hope I don't cause more damage to it. Thanks!

The video instruction is really good. Take time in doing this and don't damage the sidekeys.... this tracks can easily be broken

Are there other versions of this video? The one I downloaded only shows up to the removal of the back housing. It doesn't show the removal of the sidekeys or any other other parts.I assumed I just needed to simply pull out the exposed circuit board to get access to the keypad. Now I know its not as simple as I assumed.

In fact Nokia phones are much easier to open but just look at the video - but you need an amound of force to open the phone... It isn't as easy but you can do it.

About the sidekeys. Many opend the phone using a knife and then the knife gots in the phone and the sidekey-tracks were broken.... or other just removed the back successfully (as showen in the video) and used to much force to put the mobile circuit board and tada... sidekeys were broken.... But if you are carfully you can safely open the phone Don't be such pesimistic

I use very thick guitar pick (about 1.2 mm thick) for opening SL45... It might sound funny but it's very easy to open the phone.
Begin with opening your SL from the top of the phone, near the antenna.
Hope this will help
