will flashing undo all patches?

will flashing with same fw(56 to be more precise) undo all patches? or do i have to restore eeprom to undo all patches at once?

All patches are undone if you flash the original fw56 to your mobile phone. With WinSWup it's quite easy to do so.
EEPROM is a special memory area where all user specific settings are stored e.g. appointments, profile settings, learned words for T9 - but there are also hardware specific settings stored like battery measurement.
Make software update with fw56. There's no need to flash the eeprom unless you still have problems after flashing fw56. But if you will do so, all user defined settings will be lost. And it's recommended to only flash your own backuped eeprom, not anyone from the internet (because of battery settings etc.)!

ok . u were right: i did the fw56 flash and all patches were undone. 10x 4 the help man. i am so happy to see that after all this time , there still are people interested in this wonderful phone.
