S65 vs. S6V - GSM-Forum

hi siemens lovers
i just bought new s65 (ehm, it's reporting as s6v) and i didn't noticed any differences
my search on internet was also not successfull
do you please know about any difference?

i'm interested especially in firmware differences and compatibilities (flashing s65 fw into s6v phone)

thx in advance for any information

The difference of the S65v opposite to the S65 is the Vodafone Branding

Unbranding from S65v is no problem with new chaos flasher to patch modell string and you can update S65v with Original Software S65

i thought that there're also some hardware changes

can you please write a bit more about chaos flasher? i've never heard about it

i should first change model string and then i can simply use winswup fw43 ?

chaos x65 flasher v1060 you will find here

Download x65flasher v.1060 by chaos

Run Backup - EEPROM / Bootcoore / File System / Fullflash etc. to restore if something wrong

Select Advanced - Change Phone Model

Write S65 instead of S65v

Chaos Flasher change modell string from S65v to S65

Run Winswup oder Softwareupdate Tool for Original S65

Run FFS Inint for S65

and your phone will be unbranded

which one should i use?

Flash it with the sw revision you will flash your s6v. If it's S65_v43, for example, use FFSInit 43_0363, if v25, use the other!
