7610 problem with keypad - GSM-Forum

hi all... i have a 7610 here & all keys work apart from 5,6 and when i press menu key the middle button doesnot work

please help

take phone apart including sticky tape on buttons and clean worked for me

i have a qustion ;
the keypad ic the same in nokia 6610 or not couse i have one 7610 i chang the ic keypad but another broplem appear

its not same with 6610. its same with 3650, 6600, 7610, and ather models who have 2 keypad IC

take the phone to the nearest service-it take about 15 min to take the whole keypad off and clean the pins underneath. its a common problem with 7610.
just tell the guy behind the counter to unscrew the keypad and to brush it with earbuts. will work

try to trace the line thru keypad connector and your keypad board, using tester, see if its have a good connection. if its good? try replacing U.I ic.

change the driver ic of that kepad, then try the button maybe it works.

have you tried cleaning the keypress itself? sometimes dirt gets under it making it sticky and such.
