Member: 108694 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | My N-Gage QD is fried. Need newbie help! I've got crazy because it's 11 days old!!. I've payed a lot of money for it. When I power on it only shows me a blank white screen, and after 5 or so minutes it shuts down. The only thing I can see is a few pink and cyan dots on screen fading away every couple of seconds until it powers off. I've contacted my local service center (in a province of Argentina) and they tell me that can't help me with the problem because they don't know how to service the phone model. (???). The only thing they can do is change the board (for 100 dollars). After checking a lot of forums I've discovered the word W.S.O.D. (White Screen Of Death). Can you give me some advice on this problem?. Can I re-flash it?. Can I reset my phone?. I don't know where to start!!!. I don't have any cable or hardware/software. I'm an electronics engineer whit hadware knowledge buy I'm new to GSM and all this stuff. I would be very grateful if anyone can help me with this. I want my phone back!. Thanks a lot and sorry for my basic english. |

Member: 8086 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 180 | If I were you, I will bring back the phone to the person/shop from who you bought it and ask for warranty repair or change for free. You have the right of warranty repair if you bought it officially for a lot of money. I have the knowledge and the service equipment to repair it,but if this would happen to me I don't think about repairing it myself, I would be very angry and I would do the action I mentioned above. |
