Nokia 6600

I have a 6600 that had the old version on (3.41). Then i updated the software to 4.091 but that sim that was originally in there keeps saying Sim Card registration failed and then after a while it says insert sim. ive tried different cards from the same network and they all work besides this card. Oh and this sim is a contract sim.

sounds like he's telling you to do a format of the phone m8.

switch phone off

hold down the "8", "3" and green send button - keep them all pressed together and switch on the phone.

keep them pressed until the word "formatting" appears on the screen, then it's ok to release the buttons.
Screen will fill in black from the left hand side. wait till it's fully black then the phone should restart and thats it reformatted, back to it's original state.

hope it helps.

Regards,

Northernbloke

hi, I've had the same problems with mine, I used power on and then *#7370# I've read that you should have a fully changed battery to do this.
mine seem to be ok again now, and it's still unlocked which is good news.

hope this helps.

regards

doggo.

I remind you that when the phone leave factory is unlocked. The network provider lock the phones so that can`t be used in another network. Anyway user aria don`t means eeprom aria

If you have m2bus cable and a nokia dct3 u can use many softwares to play with network lock. I say dct3 because is easyear to understand how it works. For every phone model, each producer use another lock algorithm.

GPRS access point

I haved that problem with my 6600, but not anymore because i have deleted some of the orange files located in c: drive of my phone
C:\system\data\
there you have to look in the 1st directory called Actionlock and delete any of orange files. or just the first file, I do't remember the name, but is something with orange. En joy

Please let me know if it works.
