3230 nokia hang, flash with Twister-- dead! Try to flash with UB (universal box) first erase its fia (full erase) then flash it with high version after flashing write good pm then format user area and then unlock..... the phone is now alive and kicking strong!!!!

here is another info to consider. have you ever tried to solve the 4 blinks (nokia start-up display on screen only) and yet not successful inspite of all attempts you made to repair it? here is my experience and I have tried this method to work perfectly mostly in 3650 & 3660.

As in my case, 4 blinks can be repaired by formatting the unit by pressing "format user area (UFS) or "file system format" (JAF/MT). if not successful, then try full erase (1st,2nd & 3rd bin erase files, CCSerase). if not successful what then???

This is the final solution and tested 100% working. If all the above method is unsuccessful then it is a hardware fault and it is the flash or SDRAM fault or UEM.

First check if IMEI serial No is ok, if it's ???????????????? then change UEM. if serial is ok then back-it up (if possible). Now Change Flash IC, first the application IC (usually F12) then flash the phone. if unsuccessful, then change all the 3 flash IC then flash after rewrite UEM, write PM then unlock! good luck. (don't forget to say cheeeseee...)
